Xiaomi has announced a strategic collaboration with Google, integrating Gemini AI into its Xiaomi 15 series smartphones. The announcement came just ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, marking the first time Xiaomi has allowed a third-party AI to access its native apps.
Alongside this partnership, the company also unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 for global markets.
Gemini AI Now Integrated into Xiaomi Apps
In X post, Xiaomi confirmed that Google’s Gemini AI chatbot will now work within Xiaomi Notes, Xiaomi Calendar, and Xiaomi Clock. With this integration, users will be able to find information and complete tasks directly within these apps.
While Xiaomi hasn’t fully detailed how the AI will function, it’s expected that Gemini AI will help users with actions like creating notes, setting calendar events, and scheduling alarms. However, it remains unclear whether it will also support editing or deleting existing entries.
The company has noted that Gemini AI’s availability will vary based on device, region, and language, and an active internet connection will be required to use these features.
This collaboration expands Xiaomi’s AI capabilities, which were previously limited to camera enhancements and the China-exclusive Super Xiao AI assistant. The Xiaomi 15 series will also feature Google’s Circle to Search, an AI-powered visual lookup tool.
HyperOS 2: Xiaomi Confirms Rollout Timeline

While details on HyperAI’s full capabilities are still scarce, this move signals Xiaomi’s ambition to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy AI and Oppo’s AI-driven tools.
