Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, a high-performance electric vehicle (EV) designed for speed enthusiasts. Announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona on March 2, the car is a more powerful version of the SU7, which has been available in China since last year.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra Price & Availability

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is now on sale in China with a starting price of CNY 529,900 (roughly ₹64 lakh). Buyers can also opt for special versions like the Racing Package and the Nürburgring Nordschleife Limited Edition, which will be available after the car completes its Nürburgring track challenge.

Customers can choose from five exterior colors: Lightning Yellow, Space Silver, Verdant Green, Pearl White, and Obsidian Black. Pre-orders began in October 2024, and deliveries are now underway.

Unmatched Performance: Speed & Power

Xiaomi’s SU7 Ultra is engineered for high performance, featuring a triple-motor setup powered by HyperEngine electric motors. The configuration includes:

  • Two V8s motors at the rear
  • One V6s motor at the front
  • Total power output: 1,548 hp
  • Peak torque: 635 Nm
  • Max revolution speed: 27,200 rpm

These numbers translate into jaw-dropping acceleration:

  • 0-100 kmph in just 1.98 seconds
  • 0-200 kmph in 5.86 seconds
  • Top speed of 350 kmph

To handle such speeds safely, the SU7 Ultra is equipped with carbon ceramic brakes, Akebono high-performance calipers, and specialized brake pads, delivering a 100-0 kmph braking distance of just 30.8 meters.

Track-Ready Design & Advanced Chassis

Built for both the road and the racetrack, the SU7 Ultra features a highly aerodynamic design, including an oversized front splitter, U-shaped air curtains, and an air dam for improved downforce.

The dual-chamber air springs and adaptive dampers allow fine-tuned suspension adjustments, ensuring a balance between comfort and performance. The torque-vectoring system, which adjusts torque 500 times per second, further enhances stability and control.

For track enthusiasts, Xiaomi has integrated a Racetrack Master app, providing real-time lap data, vehicle performance stats, and post-race analysis, including G-force, braking force, and steering angles.

Battery & Charging: Speed Meets Efficiency

The SU7 Ultra is powered by a 150 kWh Qilin 2.0 battery from CATL, built using Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology for better efficiency and structural integrity.

Key battery features include:

  • Maximum power output: 1,330 kW
  • Still delivers 800 kW even at 20% charge
  • Full charge in under 12 minutes
  • Claimed CLTC range: 630 km

For durability, Xiaomi has added a bulletproof coating to the battery pack, increasing resistance to scratches, tears, and punctures. The active cooling system ensures efficient heat dissipation during high-performance driving.

Next-Level Interior & AI-Powered Features

Inside, the SU7 Ultra blends luxury with sportiness. Upgraded sports seats offer active side support, faster response times, and larger support areas for comfort. The steering wheel, wrapped in Alcantara microfiber fabric, features a flat-top and flat-bottom racing design.

Buyers can customize the interior with three striking color options:

  • Bright yellow/black
  • Sleek black/yellow
  • Bold black/red

For added comfort, the front seats offer ventilation, massage functionality, and graphene heating for both rows.

Xiaomi has also integrated its “Human x Car x Home” ecosystem, powered by the Snapdragon 8295 chip, ensuring seamless connectivity with the HyperOS system. AI-powered features include an electric hood that opens via voice commands and an advanced infotainment system.

Additional convenience features:

  • Dual 50W wireless phone charging
  • Auto-dimming rearview mirrors
  • Blind-spot detection lights
  • Customizable vanity mirror lighting

Safety & Smart Driving Tech

To prevent unintended acceleration, the SU7 Ultra comes with Mis-Acceleration Inhibition (MAI) and Low-Speed Autonomous Emergency Braking (LAEB), which intervene if a potential collision is detected.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi has ensured high-speed safety with a rigid chassis, advanced braking system, and precise torque control.

Final Thoughts: A New Challenger in Performance EVs?

With hypercar-level acceleration, a high-tech cabin, and cutting-edge AI features, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra marks the company’s boldest step into the EV world.

At CNY 529,900 (₹64 lakh), it competes with Tesla’s Model S Plaid and Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S, while offering unique AI-driven enhancements.

Could this be the new benchmark for performance EVs? Let us know your thoughts!
